It is very easy to bake a really good Quiche
and here is a simple recipe, which is actually healthy and light since I use
plain yogurt and cheese for filling.
Bake it for 55 minutes and it will make
the whole house smell delicious!
Serve it with a green salad, a cool bottle of a dry Cabernet Sauvignon and Voila!
You'll have a lovely brunch.
You can change the filling, you can add mushrooms (sauteed in olive oil and garlic) or
you can chopped some leeks very finely. If you add a cup of vegetable in the filling, then I would decrease
the amount of cheese by one cup. I would save some cheese and sprinkle it on top, for instance.
For dessert, I would serve mixed berried (blueberries, straberries and raspbeeries), something cool and light and refreshing.
A home-made Quiche makes a wonderful dish to bring to any potluck gathering.
Please note: use a very good cheese, such as Comté or Beaufort.
If you like goat cheese, use a soft, creamy one, just add a little and that will make an absolute wonderful quiche.
You certainly can add some small pieces of bacon or ham.
You can also add (in another quiche, not all in the same one!) little chunks
of vegetables, such as some pieces of artichokes' hearts or some mushrooms (sauteed
in white wine first).
Bon Appetit!
